Experience
Dr. Em Loerzel holds her Masters in Social Work and her PhD in Social Welfare. With over a decade of social services and social work experience, she has practice experience with college students, group work, survivors of violence, Native American community members, folks who are working through grief, LGBTQIA2+, BIPOC, issues around intergenerational trauma, trauma, mother wounds, equine and animal assisted therapy, life transitions, chronic health issues, ADHD, burnout, anxiety, depression, and stress management.
Dr. Loerzel utilizes an eclectic, systems based, and collaborative approach when working with clients, and likes to create a warm, compassionate environment where people can work on succeeding and healing.​​​​
The fine print​
Location
Dr. Loerzel currently has availability to see people 18+ in person at her office located in downtown Prescott, WI, or telehealth based in Wisconsin. She has flexible appointment scheduling that include later afternoons and early evenings.
Payment methods
At this time, she can only accept self-pay via rates listed, but may be able to offer sliding scale for clients who are in need. She is hoping to be able to accept insurance later next year.
Scope of Practice
For clients wanting family therapy, couples counseling, children's counseling, have active/present thoughts of self harm, suicide, eating disorders, or addiction, she will provide a referral to another trusted clinician.
Licensing information
She currently holds her temporary Advanced Practice Social Work license in the state of Wisconsin (license #135242 - 121) and is currently under clinical supervision of Dr. Rose Fernandez, PsyD, LP, HSPP.
